Projects & Rooms
Project structure
Every project in Liru is organized around rooms. This mirrors how interior designers actually work – you think in spaces, not spreadsheet rows.
Creating a project
From the dashboard, click "New Project." Required fields:
• Project name
• Client information
Optional fields:
• Project address
• Start date and deadline
• Budget range
• Notes
Managing rooms
Adding rooms
Click "Add Room" in any project. Each room has:
**Name** – Living Room, Master Bedroom, Kitchen, etc.
**Type** – helps with categorization and reporting
**Functional brief** – what does this room need to achieve?
**Products** – items sourced and assigned to this room
Room details
Each room has tabs for:
**Products** – furniture, materials, lighting assigned here
**Budget** – per-room cost breakdown
**Tasks** – work items related to this room
**Layout** – 3D models and floor plans
**History** – all changes and decisions
Project status
Projects can be:
**Draft** – still being set up
**Active** – in progress
**On Hold** – paused
**Completed** – finished
**Archived** – stored for reference
Tips
• Use the functional brief to document client requirements before you start designing
• Add photos of the current space to each room for reference
• Keep room names consistent across projects for easier reporting
